| PAWSoft is short for PabUK's
Windows Software. And thats exactly
what it is - software, for Windows, by PabUK. Current top programs
are Pawclock - advanced
digital clock bursting with features, Pawbrowse
- much the same but an image viewer, Minimail
- the smallest e-mail program ever and finally Bank
It - incredibly small and simple game that is inexplicably addictive
and popular. |

| I don't consider myself an artist in
any sense of the word, so why do I have a virtual art gallery
to showcase my work? Good question, answer it for yourself by
visiting my collection of photography and computer rendered
images. |

| New Community Admins Assigned |
Nov 24 2002, 11:00 PM |
As I have found myself with increasing responsibilities while online, I
have decided to take a lesser role in the running of the comunity. As
such community leaders Bilbo Baggins and sttaffy have been promoted to
community admins. My previous responsibilities are now theirs, aside
from software operations such as backups, upgrades and modifications to
the forum software. In all other respects (everything from the name of
the community to forums and member groups) Bilbo and sttaffy are now in
charge here.
I will continue to have admin power as this is
still my webspace and I have to ensure it is being used in a reasonable
way. However I will not interfere with the operation of the forums
beyond what was already stated and in certain exceptional
circumstances. I will also still be here as a member and as a moderator
if required.
So say hello to your new forum admins and goodbye to your old one... |

| New Forum - Real Life™ |
Nov 4 2002, 02:35 AM |
I have opened a new forum for discussion on real life issues. This is
anything that is bothering you at the moment you need help with or just
want to express your feelings to the world.
From the forum rules...
| QUOTE | | This
is a serious forum for serious discussion about real life issues only.
All off-topic, insulting or otherwise inappropriate posts or topics
will be deleted without warning. This forum is for people to help
people. Guest posting is enabled, so you can post anonymously if
required. |
Please
use it as when you wish, for both getting help and giving it to others.
Visitors are welcome to post anonymously and we will make no effort to
reveal the identity of guest posters. If you think this forum could
help someone feel free to tell them about it.
I am dedicating
this forum to Robert Jordan, known as Mizter_E in these forums and our
chat room, who recently and tragically took his own life. This
dedication will not be mentioned in the forum itself but only in this
post as it has been pointed out to me that some people might think of
it as insensitive. I promise this is not the intention at all. It is my
hope that in however small a way we can help people with their problems
from time to time.
The rules of this forum are very strict, more
so even than disputus. It is a place for serious issues and responses
only. Everything else will be deleted as soon as read by a member of
staff. |

| Updated Forum Skin |
Nov 3 2002, 04:37 AM |
As you will have noticed (you had to see it to get here!) I have been changing the forum skin.
I have: - Put a line break at the top of the page - Made the top bar (with the logo on it) much narrower - Made a new (pretty dull) logo for the new top bar - Moved the fugly floating "Help | Search | Members | Calendar" links to the top bar - Removed line breaks between categories - Removed the column descriptions from being above every category (now just at the very top) - Removed a pointless blank light blue bar from underneath each category
All
that adds up to a much more streamlined, space efficient and lower
bandwidth board index. The space wasted by the default IBF skin is
ridiculous. Hope you like the changes. |

| Forums upgraded |
Oct 30 2002, 07:16 PM |
I have now finished upgrading the forums to the latest Invision Board
release. This new version has many new features and improvements over
the previous version. However, all the modificationss we had installed
before are no longer present, as well as any skin changes I made
before. So for now this means no portal, no member bar on the forum
index, no special tags and so on.
I will be working on adding
back the mods and skin changes over the next week or so. Please don't
complain about something being missing or different in the meantime.
Only report serious problems such as errors. Other than that feedback
is welcome.
Update 1: I have increased the maximum avatar size to 80 x 80 pixels. This makes for much clearer looking avatar images.
Update 2: I have made a decision not
to install any major modifications at the moment. This is because we
are currently using a beta version of IBF and it would complicate
updates between now and the final release of IBF 1.1. So for now only
things that do not require any source code editing will be done.
Update
3: With sadness I have decided to close the Coinbird forum. It was
really great at first, especially with Roxy as a mod. But since then it
has just died off - the last post made there was over 3 weeks ago. We
still love and respect the bahd and will welcome posts about it in the
entertainment forum, which is where the ones from the Coinbird forum
were moved to before the forum was deleted.
Update 4: There are currently no plans to bring back the quickspam™ box. |

Hi, er, the forum index page (and only that one) is borked right now
because of something that happened while fixing the shoutbox. Normally
it would have been like that for only a few minutes but as
(coincidentally) our ISP is being screwy tonight I cannot fix it until
the problem with our ISP is resolved. Great huh!
I will delete this post once the problem has been solved. |
